6 May - Day 18 Como Bellagio

We began the day with a stroll around the back streets looking for a holiday shack.
Loved this roof...
Liked the stairs on this one...
... but decided this understated 'little' place with the big garden was the one for me.
Greg and the kids decided to run down the nearest alley way before I found another house to buy.
Getting ready to climb the slopes behind Como...
Never been in a cable car with such steep steps - very cool.
Great view over Como (our hotel was just down in the nearest corner of the harbour... in a back street of course, but not far back!)
Lovely details at the top...

Time to descend...
Goodbye Como... hello Bellagio (if we make it on the skinny, windy, hairy roads with relatively fat/big car and peak hour local traffic!)
(this is an easy wide section ie. no cliff to the left or bus on-coming!)
Greg needed a breather half way and thanked his faithful stead (Pascal the Peugeot Teepee)
Elena finds George the skink in Bellagio... Jen's looking for another George

Almost like the real thing...

Greg thinks Jen is looking for hand bags but we all know what she's really looking for...
... and its not plates
and its not knots (although Greg really liked these)

Purple flowers to cheer me up as we farewell Bellagio... without having had morning tea with George
Bye bye Bellagio.

We head out on the 'highway', bound for Venezia.
