Apr 22 - Day 4 Chantilly & Amiens (Greg's birthday & Good Friday)

We picked up our brand new diesel Peugeot 'Partner Teepee' (not exactly sexy but very practical for the next 5 weeks adventuring) on the outskirts of Paris and headed  for Chantilly for some cream, lace and chateaux. Spectacular day, spectacular location!

If you want to enter the chateaux, you must first befriend the li'l dawgs.
Greg and I were very good and took the kids to church for Good Friday.
The chateaux has a very impressive art collection.
The cherubs contemplating the great works of art.
I like the colour of her hair.

Elena and I thought it wouldn't be right to leave town without trying some Chantilly cream.
Car crazed travellers in the back of 'Pascal the Peugeot' as we head for Amiens.
Our lovely little (very thermally efficient - seriously very impressive) hotel in Amiens.
Scinergy Canberra meets CDG Amiens! This little car was parked outside our hotel - yep, it's all about thermography and air leakage :-)
Amiens has this little cathedral that's quite nice ie. AMAZING!

We liked the guys that had laughed their heads-off.
We finished  a great day with birthday dinner for Gregoir by the banks of the Somme.
